We recently worked with a client who had oak floorboards that weren't fulfilling their full potential. We were commissioned to bring out the natural colour of the oak which was currently being obscured.
The boards were in good condition, so we able to take a conservative approach with regard to sanding. Once the old finish had been completely removed, we applied Pallmann PALL-X 94 matt finish lacquer. This finish was chosen because it gives the a true-to-colour result, protecting and enhancing the natural qualities of the wood for years to come. The non-reflective quality of matt lacquer avoids glare, further bringing out the oak's distinct grain.
When we bring floors back to life it's so rewarding, and this was a great example.
